BACKGROUND
By leveraging the Unity engine to implement a seamless one-take 3D solution, we created a futuristic smart cockpit interaction system. Through innovative visual language and interactive experiences, we enhanced AITO’s brand positioning as premium and intelligent.
I led a one-year conceptual design project to redefine the HMI platform for AITO’s future vehicle models.
As the Visual Design Lead, I managed a team of 10 designers to deliver both the initial concept and final production-ready solutions for AITO’s next-generation luxury HMI and integrated digital experience, covering the instrument cluster, HUD, co-pilot display, and infotainment system.
The project’s hallmark was using Unity to achieve a one-take 3D vehicle model, dynamic scene solutions, and animations for core vehicle functions and driver-assistance features.
Every touchpoint across the vehicle lineup required cohesive and consistent design, balancing intuitive usability with a premium luxury feel.
Throughout the project, I collaborated closely with technical artists, developers, and interaction designers to evaluate technical feasibility and advance the design from concept demo to final implementation.
CONCEPT DESIGN PHASE
Starting from concept design, we used AI tools to rapidly prototype and validate visual language.
During this phase, we created three demos to showcase our core design philosophy: the new HMI system should embody spatiality, scenario-based interaction, and emotional intelligence.
At this stage, without interaction team involvement, we focused on visualizing key design elements and used AI tools to simulate the one-take transitions.
All transitions were AI-generated. While some details were imperfect, the overall presentation allowed rapid validation of our concept.

For high-frequency functions (music playback/camping/car wash modes), we created dedicated 3D scenes and achieved seamless mode switching through "one-take" animations. This approach reduces cognitive load while strengthening the visual-function connection through cohesive storytelling.
